BUS SERVICES – PUBLIC MEETING 7.30 pm Thursday 10 January 2019 Tunley Recreation Centre

Dunkerton & Tunley Parish Council would like to invite all local residents living in Tunley and the immediate surrounds to a meeting to discuss the ever decreasing bus service in our area.

The Parish Council would welcome the opportunity to update you on

  • What happened in 2018 to try to reverse the bus service cuts
  • The current response by BANES Council to parishioners’ concerns
  • To hear what is planned for 2019 in light of Cllr Paul Myers (B&NES Cabinet Member for Economic & Community Regeneration) now taking the lead on Rural Bus Services

We are also wanting to receive concerns and questions from parishioners as well as hearing what sort of bus service you need

The meeting will be attended by Andy Strong who is the head of BANES Council’s Public Transport Team

This meeting will be followed by our scheduled parish council meeting commencing 8.30 pm

Kathryn Manchee – Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer to the Council.

A reminder that there is a Remembrance Service in All Saints Church at 10.50am on Sunday, led by resident Air Force officer, David Orme. On the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, please join us to remember especially those from the parish who gave their lives for our freedom, both in that war and more recently.
